I teach and support students who are far-below basic in state standards, as well as students with special needs. Our school is located in the inner city of Los Angeles County and receives Title 1 funding. Additionally, the majority of my students come from low-income, hard-working families that are predominately second-language learners, and most have diverse cultural backgrounds. Despite conditions that others would see as "impossible," my students embrace the philosophy that education can be the key to success.

About my class
