Students will use the materials from the project to learn critical music reading skills. The use of imagination and the ability to use the stories as a connection to music literacy is powerful! The books and aids that I have requested teach students to read the names of the lines and spaces in music. The use of flash cards and posters will reinforce the stories they hear by representing visually (with icons) great ways build note-reading skills. The microphone will be a great way for students to retell stories or teach the class what they have learned. Our room is right next to the gymnasium so giving a boost to our voices will really help!
