If my project is funded, I plan on purchasing materials that will assist my current at-risk students to build/create healthy relationships in school. It will provide them a safe-spot in which these 90 at-risk students are able to create authentic bonds in our classroom. If I can provide areas in my classroom dedicated to group collaboration, I can have one group that learns best through movement. Help my students enjoy learning how to sentence diagram in more hands-on activities, read for enjoyment, and continue feel safe making mistakes. These high school students NEED to learn how to make a few baby options each and every day. By providing them a variety of supplies and variety ways to relocate their groups into the school's common areas. This project is designed to promote peer-centered lessons in which they feel safe. The excitement and gratitude would make a huge benefit to their education. As Rene Brown once mentioned, "Courage over Comfort". I would be honored to provide my students the comfort in the classroom which will help build their courage.
