The goal for these tablets is to create a classroom where students are able to better prepare for their futures. This means that students will learn how to do more research based work, use more computer based programs (i.e. Google Docs and Microsoft Suite) and are able to do more cross-curriculum work between English and math. On a day-to-day-basis, students will typically use these technological resources to conduct research and type essays. Through much collaboration, the students' math/financial algebra teacher and I plan to use such resources to take students research to a college level. Our goal is to have students using computers/tablets in math to collect and graph data through programs like Excel or Google Sheets, and then to translate that data collection into a written analysis, so that our students see how different subjects work together in the real world making them college and life ready!
