These materials will help my students who have sensory needs to obtain the objects and tools necessary to meet their personal needs. Some of the tools will help improve their fine motor development that will increase their strength and accuracy when beginning to write. Other tools will help their early literacy skills to jump start their reading development as they grow by recognizing letter formation, letter name and even sound. The math manipulatives will help them sort not only shapes but begin to recognize shapes through environmental print. I will be able to use these materials during circle, small group, and centers.
