This project is part of integrating the Arts into a well-rounded STEM curriculum. Many of my students are great artists, and many more need help developing their artistic skills. This project will help support the vision Geraldine Claytor had for a school that includes the Arts in a STEM school (STEAM). In my classroom, students often create displays to showcase and share their brilliant ideas. The light board will help them use books, magazines, and other print media to create their own unique work. In the next generation of Science education, students have to know how to show their ideas just as much as they will need to write about them.
