This year I am focusing on creating an environment that allows my students to learn tailored to their needs. In particular, I am focusing on creating flexible seating for my literacy stations. Every child is different, so where and how they learn needs to be differentiated. Movement is a key piece in a kindergarten classroom. I use literacy stations to provide hands on learning activities for my students. Literacy stations are focused activities that involve students completing specific tasks. However, not every child learns the same way. During literacy stations, students will be able to choose their seat tool that will help them do their best learning. They will have multiple options, which is where the wobble chairs come in. The students will be able to use this seat tool to do their work. The best part about flexible seating is that it empowers students to make the best decision for THEIR learning.
