Several of my students wear braces that restrict their mobility. The chairs that I am hoping to raise money for will help my students have comfortable seating that is accommodating to the physical needs. The seating keeps the student elevated and supported during the learning process. The carpet that I selected serves multiple purposes. It offers academic learning opportunities at different levels of learning abilities. It also provides a barrier between the students and a cold, hard, concrete flooring. As individuals, we all like to work in a fun and comfortable environment. The same is true for children with special needs. In fact, some say that it's even more beneficial in a special needs classroom. A comfortable and least restrictive environment helps struggling minds to better focus on their learning tasks. As a special education teacher, I know first hand that this is very true for my students. so please consider helping in any way you can.
