I am a teacher who has the pleasure of instructing in an unique learning environment. My students and the population of students in my school, are physically and cognitively disabled. I also have students who are non-verbal and terminally ill. My classroom lessons include differentiated instruction which offers each student an opportunity to learn at their own pace and level . My students are several grade levels below their typical grade level peers and it is difficult for them to remember basic facts when they appear so complex in their eyes. I make learning fun and at the same time, give my students the academic background they require. In a special class such as mine, this can be done with interactive models and hands on learning. I look forward to acquiring equipment that will foster interesting academics and at the same time, help students hold the knowledge I instruct. Thank you in advance for your support!
