Thank you for helping us to fill the gaps in our classroom library and needs. By adding and promoting promote excitement over both contemporary American authors during our independent reading time as well as affording us an opportunity to take an inquiry-based look at historically banned and challenging books, like “Gone with the Wind”, and “One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest” while providing emergency hygiene supplies, students may continue learning and growing while simultaneously feeling confident and safe. The 2019/2020 Young Hoosier Book Award selection has been released, and what an exciting list it is this year! From “Playing Atari with Saddam Hussein” to “Windfall”, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. When readers are the opportunity to become engaged with appropriately-leveled texts for both enjoyment and literary analysis, there's no telling how much they'll grow. Our students, our future leaders, are fortunate to reflect on the literary world through the kindness of your donations. Thanks for being a part of our journey!
