As a classroom, in the smallest elementary school, in Washington, DC, we are nestled in the heart of a bustling city. Outside our window, we have homes, restaurants, monuments, and the whole world at our feet. Although we are third grade classroom in a 'reward' school, we still have needs, desires, and learning opportunities that need support to be funded. Third grade means studying Washington, DC as a whole - social justice, three branches of government, and the people who created this city and country. In addition to learning about the world outside our door, we will be studying activism, magnets, force & motion, and Peter Pan. Eager to learn, and backed by a supportive families and neighborhood sponsors, we are working on developing our STEM curriculum and enhancing classroom instruction. Hands on learning, integration of technology, and unique learning experiences is our ultimate goal!
