Our 1st grade classroom in Michigan has 39 students shared by two teachers. We are in a rural county, where the whole county comes to one school system. My teaching partner and I work hard to individualize and differentiate instruction to meet every student's needs. We use a lot of technology to achieve our goals, including a smartboard, computers, and iPads. What amazes us as we work with our students every day is how savvy they are at using these tools for learning. Just the other day, I asked my students how they thought we should proceed in our study of weather. The first student I called on suggested we look at websites. It is ingrained in how they think! It is with great pride that we help these students achieve amazing things!
