This project will help students learn tolerance through reading about people with different backgrounds. I am so excited to be able to offer students opportunities to learn about others through fiction and nonfiction literature. These books offer different lessons on tolerance, diversity, bullying, and positive character traits such as patience. I plan on reading these books to the students and also using them to teach different lessons and activities with the students. I hope to show students how diverse our country is and that is what makes America great. These books will be a wonderful opportunity for the students to read new stories about people and places they may not have ever heard about.
