As we all become more and more reliant on technology, I have noticed an increase in students coming to kindergarten who lack fine motor skills. This can lead to frustrations and struggles for students across all subject areas. Throw in a pandemic and the need to strengthen these skills for these little ones becomes even greater! My goal with Morning Tubs is to start our day off with fun, play-based activities that work to strengthen fine motor development. I hope that engaging students in these activities provides a positive start to our day while also helping them grow not only with their fine motor skills but also with literacy, math, and problem-solving as well.

About my class
