Students in my room are constantly using our classroom library and because of all the good use, our library is in need of new books. For our reading program, we include book clubs. In those book clubs we introduce series books, such as Nate The Grate, Katie Woo, Henry and Mudge and many others. We also use nonfiction books for book clubs. My nonfiction books in my classroom are at levels some of my students can not read, so I picked lower level books. This way all students can be involved in multilevel book clubs on the same topic. I also chose chairs for my students to use at the reading table. The students need fiction and nonfiction books, bins for each level/genre to go in and chairs for the students to sit at during guided reading. Children are at all levels in our classroom and deserve high-interest fiction and nonfiction books for reading.
