Technology is everywhere and a very important part of everyone's daily life.
Technology is the future and my students are the ones that will be leading the future.
Technology in the classroom is very important for many different reasons. It helps prepare students for the future. Using technology in the classroom is a great way to differentiate learning and different learning styles. Technology helps prepare students for the real world. Students are more engaged with technology activities. Students are excited to use technology as it's a different way of learning and creating for them. Students become more responsible with technology. Technology allows students to demonstrate independence. It allows students to stay up-to-date with current and trending lessons.
You'd be amazed when you walked in my classroom and you are able to watch a 7-year-old create their own Powerpoint or Excel sheet. Students love being able to use different opportunities to create their own work and have the choice to make it more personal.
Students will use these tablets on a daily basis to engage, create and explore. We will use these for reading groups, math activities, blogging, virtual educational games, book and movie making, and much, much more.
