I teach in a very small community tucked away in Bon Secour, Alabama. We are a small, Title 1 school. In my class, I live by the motto "This is Our Happy Place." I thrive to make my students feel loved and safe, while providing them with interactive and engaging instruction to show them that learning can be fun. My classroom is where this journey begins. Providing students with a beautiful, engaging classroom helps gain their attention and drive to want to be there. This Donors Choose Project is to help purchase seat covers and flexible seating choices for my sweet firsties! I did away with student desks to build community and collaboration in my classroom. These seat covers will allow students to keep their books and materials at their table with them, while helping create a neat, organized classroom for them to thrive in. The flexible seating will provide students a fun seating choice during small group and center time.
