LEGO Education Coding Express will give students pre-k through 1st grade access to computer science fundamental skills with a tool they already love, LEGO Duplo! Playing with LEGO and using the coding component of Coding Express will help them think critically and problem solve while they also collaborate and design creative solutions to problems. The Coding Express product has students build a community and then code the train to satisfy challenges using simple color blocks they physically incorporate into their build. This resource combines the physical activity (building) with higher level thinking. The Coding Express kit can also be expanded with traditional LEGO Duplo bricks so students can continue to build and code even more than the provided challenges.
