My classroom is full of 20 inquisitive eager young minds. These learners crave opportunities for hands on experiences. They enjoy stories, reading, arts, science, and figuring out how math relates to real world application. These brilliant 2nd grade learners challenge me every day to expand my own thinking, as well. I am able to see the world through their eyes when we have open and safe discussions. I strive to teach them that all of their thoughts are important and their voices matter. I have had children want to become doctors, teachers, authors, illustrators, engineers, and more. Through the vast array of experiences we have in the classroom, I hope they are able to know that their aspirations are attainable.
