I am a fifth grade teacher for Metropolitan School District of Pike Township in Indianapolis, Indiana. My classroom is a diverse setting -- I have students of every kind. Each of their learning styles is different, and each of their home lives is different. It is my job as their teacher to keep them safe and comfortable throughout the day, and ensure that they are learning all they need to know throughout their fifth grade career. It is my goal to keep my classroom an interactive learning environment where they are challenged and engaged, and where they want to learn more every single day. It is my goal to keep my classroom an open space for each and every question my fifth graders might have for me, and to be able to have all the resources to appropriately answer their curiosities. My classroom is a space for students to explore and learn, whether it be independently or together, or hopefully, both.
