My students want to learn about technology and become more engaged in where that takes them. Since we have such a vast range of socio-economic status in my classroom, it is likely that many of my students do not have access to technology at home, leaving school their best access point. While I do have a few computers in my classroom, they are old, outdated, and slow. I also do not have enough for all students to get on them frequently enough that they would benefit from learning the technology. Adding iPads to the classroom allows for more students to access technology and use technology that is likely closer to what they will be using as they grow into adults.
