My students must keep up with technology in our day-to-day activities such as applying their knowledge and skills when using Zearn, Prodigy, or MobyMax, amongst others. Using the different programs, contributes to their independent work as it is geared and leveled to their own abilities and pace. Even though they enjoy using these tools, they are however conflicted by the inability to use their own headphones. When using technology they cannot concentrate on their own work without slightly listening to the work of the partner sitting next to them. Currently, we are in need of a class set of headphones so my students can concentrate on their task at hand and listen as stories are read to them or as they hear their individualized mathematics lessons.
