Makerspaces are the best. We are incorporating project-based assignments into our curriculum. Often the students are required to create a display for these big assignments. Students can come to the media center to work on assignments. Many of our students don't have the supplies needed for these projects at home due to financial circumstances. Having a Cricut machine will help the students make their final projects stand out! The Cricut will cut through paper, vinyl, and other materials. These materials, provided by the media center, can be used in the project for letters or images. The Cricut will be a great addition to our maker space in the media center. Using the Cricut will help my students gain valuable 21st-century skills that can be applied in a future career. This machine will improve students creativity and imagination.
