A big draw for students to take my Forensic Science class is that I worked in the field before coming to teach them. They want to hear how todays lesson was specifically applied to a real crime scene I worked in the past. I would like to go a step further by printing out the real case files with mine and other deputies/detectives reports including color photographs from the crimes scene and of evidence in the laboratory. The vivacity of the "real life" is lost when a photograph is printed in black and white. My school allows teachers to request prints/copies, however, they are only in black and white. I would like to use the HP color printer and ink cartridges to print a class set of at least 5 different case files from actual crime scenes I went to and processed. The students will not only learn how to process a crime scene, but they will actually see that the process being taught to them are actually applied to real crime scenes. This will be done through the printed case files with color photographs.
