Third grade is a big year for math! Third graders are building and solidifying their understanding of our number system, including place value, basic operations, fractions, and problem-solving. A deep understanding of these basic concepts in math provides the foundation for complex mathematics in later grades. The Magnificent Math Tool Kit will allow my third graders to build the firm foundation in mathematical thinking they will need to do advanced math in later grades. These kits will allow each student to have their own kit. This means they will be able to use these tools safely, whether at home or in school while maintaining distance and without sharing materials.
