During these COVID times, students have had to lean on technology more than ever before. I feel it is my duty to provide technological tools that can further their learning. While my students are lucky enough to have a Chromebook to use at school and at home when we are virtual, they provide their own ear buds (which break constantly) and do not have a mouse to use. Having class headphones that are more durable and can be taken home, as well as a mouse to use with their Chromebook, will definitely make navigating their online learning easier. Additionally, as my students are growing and learning through technology, the use of a green screen and class camera would open on a multitude of opportunities for creative and more inclusive learning. Students will be able to summarize a book or article they have read by creating a news report in front of the green screen while applying a background that would apply to their content. For those students who have difficulty writing by hand or difficulty sharing their thoughts through writing, they could use the camera to show that they have learned what they need to know. Please help our classroom blossom through the use of this technology!
