My students need access to a computer with a type to learn program, so they can learn to type the correct way. I noticed that my students are very slow on the computer, because they do not have the knowledge to use the computer board keys correctly to type essays. Hunting and pecking through essay typing is slow and tedious. This leads to frustration for students with disabilities. This laptop computer would allow students to participate in programs that teach them the correct way to type, which will help to increase the speed and confidence of my students. Additionally, it would help to further hand-eye coordination while allowing the student to focus more on the content of the essay in which he is typing. Once this skill is mastered, it will help to provide confidence to my students, who will be going to high school and entering the work force. Please consider donating to my special education students, who need tools to be successful in all future endeavors.
