I am a 7th and 8th grade teacher who serve students in a low-income community. The majority of my students are African-American and Hispanic. My students are eager to learn and need the opportunity and tools to research, write, explore, and expand their learning on topics discussed in class. Most of my students have financial difficulties. Most of my students come from families in which both parents work in order to maintain their household and are limited to luxuries like technology. The only place they have access to technology is at school and our school is limited due to severe budget cuts.
