About my class

My students will gain valuable skills in reading, math, keyboarding, and more with the Chromebooks I have requested. With access to computers on a daily basis students will learn important nuances of navigating the web and taking care of technology. We use our computers for the collections of e-books that our school has purchased, xtramath.org - our reading foundational skills program, Lexia - our math program, Dreambox, and many more resources. We have so many resources available to our classroom and not enough access to technology to fully utilize them. The technology will be the medium with which the students will gain and demonstrate understanding of important skills that are present in developing math, science, and reading proficiency. My students are technologically savvy and are strongly motivated by any technology source in the classroom. They are aware that in order to be successful in the global market, learning the skill of working with technology will be imperative. It is important that I provide them with training directly related to technology and foster the opportunity for students to not just learn about, but experience these materials.
