Allowing my students opportunities to work with the Kindle Fire tablets will enhance independent reading centers. Getting students to read or listen to a story can sometimes be hard, unless they are able to read it in a nontraditional way. The tablet will spark their attention and motivate them to read. The tablets will also engage the students with educational games and reinforce skills being taught in the classroom. Today's students love technology! Unfortunately, many of my students do not have access to technology devices or the internet at home. Our school currently does not have tablets in the classroom.
