My students will be able to check out classroom library materials using the clear adhesive library card pockets with cards I provide for each title and carry them home safely in blue Read-n-Go Bookbags, to read when they leave school. Students will have access to books to read that they love, whether it be due to the characters and/or their interests. My students will have access to engaging texts to read at their leisure, wherever they may be, after school hours. My students have said that they want to read but don't have access to books after leaving school due to no transportation to local libraries, no money to buy books at the store, and no books at home to read. I have created my Take-Home Library filled with books that students love to read, and more importantly read again, to help strengthen their reading skills and build a love for reading.
