I have 24 wonderful students with distinct and creative personalities. Our school houses the haves and the have-nots. Some of our students live in big houses on the water, while other students live in small, tiny houses, where money is always an issue. Living in New Jersey, my students have a thirst for knowledge, both inside the classroom and outside of it. I'm constantly being pulled from one corner of the playground to the next, being asked where this bug comes from and why this tree had circles on it. My class loves to read and to use hand-on materials for learning. We have buckets and cases of math, science and social studies tools in all areas of the classroom. My class likes to learn hands on as well as verbally.
