My students need age-appropriate storage for centers, books, and STEM materials. Having storage that the students can easily access will allow them to independently use materials they need in class. Independence is so important for littles and with high shelves/limited storage, they have to ask for assistance frequently. Fostering independence within the basic necessities of the classroom will translate into fostering independence in learning. The dual cube storage shelves will be used horizontally so that students can easily reach (and put away!) STEM bins, center materials, and books. The worktable allows space and storage for our writing center where students use LEGOs to create their story. The small table will hold sensory bins for hands-on learning. By providing my students with age/size appropriate storage, I am encouraging them to take ownership of their education. When children (or adults) feel restricted or limited, they are less likely to flourish. I want my students to know they can succeed with the setup of our room! We need your help in doing this. Please consider donating to help us out. Thank you!
