My high school students arrive to the classroom full of curiosity and a craving to learn. Our population of 1400 students is diverse with minority groups comprising 96% of our school. Though our school is underfunded and has its challenges, my students have expressed a lot of gratitude for what they are learning in my classes. I want to provide them with a Microsoft SurfacePro and a case so that they will be able to record the data for their garden project. A terrarium will help them to obtain an experience with animals and Biology they might not get any where else. A fogger and a heating pad will help the reptiles stay comfortable in the classroom. Also included in the requested materials is some posters to help brighten up my classroom as well as display interesting information and science facts. Creating an exciting classroom is challenging, but by adding a class pet and new technology I look forward to seeing my ecstatic students.
