The Power Pen Learning cards allow my students to enjoy self-directed learning centers with automated feedback. The Power Pen gives students instant feedback by lighting up red (incorrect) or green (correct) along with kid-friendly phrases for correct answers and gentle redirection for incorrect responses. I have seen these used with students in the past and they LOVE them. Self-checking learning centers allow students to learn independently while allowing me to run small group reading instruction and meet with math groups without interruption. I plan to divide each of the boxes to make multiple learning centers out of each for maximum learning time during centers. This allows more than one student or pair of students to enjoy and learn using the learning cards and Power Pens.
