My students are incredibly diverse in their interests, abilities, and ethnicities. I have the privilege of teaching in the same district I grew up in, which further fuels my investment in my students. Over my years teaching 6th-grade core ELA and Sheltered ELA, I have worked with students at a Pre-K reading level, at a 12th-grade reading level, and everything in between. While they may face a multitude of challenges, my scholars are incredibly intelligent world-changers who deserve the best educational opportunities.
