Two additional iPads/cases will allow for the class to work on iPads with a partner, at the same time. iPads are motivating for students and allows them to work at their own pace. Different apps will allow students to create content and demonstrate their knowledge through critical thinking, creativity, and other important 21st century skills.
Students will use technology to help prepare them for their future in school as well as the work force. Students will actively use engaging apps where students can build foundation skills in math and literacy. They can dig deeper with science concepts and learn about important people in history. Students will learn how to access information on the iPads. They will be able to create videos reenacting a historical event or a story they read.
Not only will iPads allow students to create and build deep connections to the content, but they will allow for differentiation. As a teacher, I will be able to use the iPads to assist me in meeting every student's needs through different activities and assignments. Students can work at a self-paced rate and self-assess their work. They can share learning and work together through interactive apps and activities that may not be possible without the use of technology.
