In my forensic class, we cover many different topics. One of my favorite ones is blood and DNA. There are so many fun activities that I use to help relate the various aspects of this unit to my students; one of which is blood typing. My students partake in a blood typing lab that uses simulated blood, which is sold in small refillable kits. With my larger class sizes, it is very helpful to have multiple kits for small groups to use individually, instead of the whole class using one kit. It is also very likely that the materials will run out by the time my second class is completing the lab. This project will give my students the opportunity to have a very enriching experience in Forensic Science.
