My art students enter class with anticipation about what they will see, learn, and create. They are excited, and my job is focus their enthusiasm and curiosity with the right environment for learning. Having a carpet will create a warm, cozy space that is inviting to children. My art room lacks a nice large rug for them. This rug will be big enough for all my students to have their own personal space. A rug is a key feature for creating a friendly atmosphere for students to sit comfortably hearing about lessons, and getting ideas while viewing illustrations. This rug would provide an opportunity for the students to work in partnership with one another. Collaboration is such an essential skill to teach students and this would help aid in that. The opportunities are endless with the help of this new classroom rug!
