The classes I teach include Advanced Publications, Advanced Journalism, Desktop Publishing & Photography and Advanced Desktop. Desktop Publishing & Photography is an introductory class in which students are exposed to photography, journalism, photo manipulation and graphic design. My other courses are production courses in which students produce our high school yearbook and newspaper. Our publications are completely self-funded and student-driven. My students are responsible for capturing the memories and records of the 2021 school year and they take their jobs very seriously. This year more than ever, it is important that we add to our toolbox so that my students have access to the equipment they need in order to capture those memories without their work being halted by the uncertainties that may take place in our classroom or the challenges faced when sharing equipment amongst a number of students.
