"Today a reader, tomorrow a leader." Margaret Fuller. My sixth-grade students are avid readers and novelists! They have the ability to positively influence younger students and make valuable contributions our school community. Our "Golden Bears" are talented actors and gifted artists! Their range of abilities include English Language Learners, gifted and talented, and everything in between. With severe cuts to educational funding in California, I'm constantly searching for ways to finance civics education, literacy and writing, and visual/performing art projects in my classroom. Students come to expect what they've seen me do in previous years. Changes in technology, new materials, and opportunities in and around our city change the flavor of student expectations. There are no limits to their creativity, and I do all I can to support their desire to achieve.
