Every student learns differently, why should they all have to sit in the same chair to learn? Flexible seating allows students to choose comfortable seating where they can learn best. When students are comfortable, they are calm, focused, and productive. Flexible seating also encourages students to share space and supplies which creates a caring classroom community. If my project is funded, I will be able to offer some flexible seating options such as wobble stools, an inflatable round chair, and ball chairs to my students. Students will be able to use all of the seating until they find the perfect learning spot for them! Flexible seating will benefit all students by allowing movement, comfort, sensory input, choice, collaboration, and building a positive community.
