The classes I teach are all part of LINC (Language Institute for Newcomers) .The LINC Mission To provide a quality educational program for high school students that are recent immigrants to the United States. I assist students in accelerating their acquisition of the English language while learning Biology content knowledge and skills and prepare them to participate successfully on their home campus in the English as a Second Language program. 80-90% of my students live in low income households. These students have hearts of gold and are a great group that I am grateful to teach. They all have a desire to learn Biology and enhance their acquisition of the English language. I learn more about each student as the days go by and we are finally able to establish a relationship that is a true break-through for all of us.
