Because each child is so unique, their learning style may differ from that of another student. While one may learn better through group work and another may prefer working alone. Giving the students options of how they learn and where they learn will help them stay motivated, engaged in learning as well as a feeling that they are in control of their own learning. I want to provide my students with a variety of flexible seating options as well as areas they can go and work and feel successful.The chairs, floor pillow, and rug that have been requested already have a spot chosen in our classroom! They will go in our library so the students will have somewhere that is relaxing and comfortable for them to grab a book or take their work and complete in a space they have chosen as a spot where they can be successful also. I am also requesting two tablets with protective covers so my students will have a variety of technology devices where they can practice and apply important skills learned in the classroom in a way that makes learning exciting. I already have several apps that I am ready to download and incorporate into my daily planning! By donating, every one of my students will benefit greatly from the use of added technology and giving the students their choice of seating in our learning environment.
