The students in my classroom are very diverse and there are a lot of dual language learners. My class will benefit the most from items that will help them learn English. I made sure to select materials that will help improve language development. The materials will also help create a positive learning environment that will make the students more interested in learning. I selected materials that will allow me to have meaningful conversations with the students as they are learning through play. I chose items that will spark an interest with my students and they will be used during small group activities, choice time, and also when working one on one with a student.
