Our school is located in a high poverty, Gulf Coast area of Texas. The campus has approximately 500 students in grades PreK-4 and we service students in all realms including bilingual, gifted and talented, autism, special education, and behavior disorders. As a result of our campus being located in a high poverty area, many of these students do not have the opportunity to travel or participate in unique experiences. I am the campus reading intervention and dyslexia teacher; therefore, I service students across all grade levels: Kindergarten through 4th grade. I work with students struggling specifically in the area of reading.
