Several of the students in my classroom have difficulty maintaining attention and focus. By giving them flexible seating options to work at, my students would be able to move and wiggle around while completing their work to help them maintain focus. Many of my students thrive off of movement while thinking and working. These exercise balls and the large carpet would be a great way for my students to experience movement while working. The exercise balls could be used either on the carpet or at the tables and desks. The students could sit or lay on the carpet as their individualized work space. I am excited to see how flexible seating creates a more student-focused learning environment for my students to facilitate greater attention and focus.
