We are a looping classroom! This means we stay together for 3rd and 4th grades. They love to read and get excited to take their books to a quiet spot in the room and get lost in the story. They call it, "getting into our bubbles." We come from a very large elementary school of over 900 students. There are 5 other classes in each grade level so it makes sharing materials nearly impossible. This year the state cut money from our district so getting new materials will be out of the question. When my students find an author they like, they enjoy reading several books by the same person. They are always excited to see who we will be learning about next during author studies. Basically, my class loves to read and they are eager to have new materials to read, sometimes over and over!
