This culminating 8th grade Bilingual Portfolio will allow students to reflect on their personal experience in the dual language program. The portfolio will include a variety of writing samples from their ELA, Social Studies and Spanish literacy classes. For example they will incorporate: personal reflections, narrative and argumentative essays, (blackout) poems, resume, certificates of accomplishments, etc. The binder, sleeve protectors, markers, cardstock/colored paper and glue sticks are all essential materials for my students to complete this project. This portfolio is an opportunity for my students to share their 8 years of experience in the dual language program with their families, school and community which will provide them with a sense of pride and ownership.
