My students are eager to learn and try new things everyday when they come to school. As children living in Queens and New York City, they have an incredibly diverse set of cultural and life experiences that we use in our classroom to explore the unknown and broaden our comfort zones. Our classroom is one where mistakes are welcomed and shared because they are simply opportunities to learn. We praise successes in all forms so each student can know what it feels like to meet a goal and set their sights further. I appreciate the willingness to try and struggle that my students bring to class every day.
